Cheeky Little Rat!

Many of you know about the cheeky bunch of Rat Bastards I have lounging about on my deck. (Some of you naughty folk have sent me additional RBs. *cough*deenbat*cough*) Well yesterday one of the little RBs earned his ration of sunflower seed. I looked out one of the bedroom windows to see this:

I tell you it made me laugh out loud to see him giving me the true definition of "cheeky."

We were eating dinner the other night and one got on the limb just outside the window. He had been frisking all over the place and suddenly just sort of collapsed, belly down, on this limb. He had his chin resting on the limb, both paws hanging down free, and he was just staring at me. Very weird, and sort of creepy to have an RB stare at me while I eat. Since we didn't have a pecan crop this year, Johnnie decided he must be starving, so last night, we went to WM and bought a big old bag of squirrel food. Please don't tell FSR. ;-)

My RBs do that too...only in their case they sprawl out on the limb because they are stuffed from the tips of their ears to the tips of their tails, not because they are starving.

Don't worry, I won't tell FSR that you went out and *bought* squirrel food!
