So in 2006 I started keeping track of how many books I read in a year. I was bit surprised...but then I realized I read quite a bit of "fluff". I think I read so much fluff because I read so quickly. The fluff doesn't matter so it doesn't matter if a year later I haven't retained much of it.

This year I read about 30 books fewer than last year. I wonder why. *grin* I probably wouldn't have read that many if I hadn't read a few books to the boys while they were in the NICU.

I wonder if my number will go down another 30 this year....

I used to think "fluff" was marvellous when I was, or should have been, busy. Mindless diversion from the necessities that arose with 4 littlies under five.
Now I don't have any excuse but still have fluff from time to time.

And just wait until the "Terrible Twos"! On the plus side, you'll be reading fewer books but you'll be making plenty of your own with photo albums and scrapbooks of the boys :-D
