Trying to hang on to the simple joys...
Jul. 25th, 2006 04:40 pmThis morning as I was rushing around like a chicken without a head* trying to get out to work and I stepped out the front door to let in my ole Watson dog. There, shining in the morning's light was a spider's web. The way the light hit it made it look iridescent. I took a moment to appreciate the beauty of the finely made web and then dashed back into the house to grab the camera. I didn't get a good picture of it but that isn't going to stop me from sharing it! And don't worry
shadiehawke and
antof9 there isn't a spider on it!
I wanted to take a picture but I also felt I *should* as I felt bad about the fact that this little spider had made such a lovely web & I had to tear it down. As you will see in the picture the web is very close to one of our hummingbird feeders and webs are very bad news for hummers.

Thank goodness I had this brief moment this morning because the rest of the day has been a monster.
*If you want to know about a chicken's without heads you will have to check out
